Care Instructions

Here are a few instructions that I suggest for the customer to follow to ensure their dessert(s) makes it to the destination and stays at its best before serving.

  • Pick up and carry the cake box from the bottom only (do not carry by the sides).

  •  Keep the cake level and flat at all times including transport and refrigeration.

  • Transportation: if possible, transport cake in an air conditioned car and away from loose objects. Place cake on the floor of the car (do not place on seat or hold). Drive slowly and avoid sudden stops and turns to prevent cake from sliding.

  • Store cake in the box in a refrigerator. Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat when not in the fridge (this will prevent melting of the buttercream frosting).

  • Take the cake out at least 1-2 hours before serving to allow cake to come to room temperature for easy cutting.

  • If using a cake stand, make sure it is sturdy enough to hold the weight of the cake (they can be pretty heavy!) and at least an inch larger than the cake board.

  • Store leftover cake in refrigerator in an air tight container. Cake will last about 5-7 days.

Cake Care

  • Cookies are best eaten when fresh and will maintain their taste and texture for up to about 2 weeks when in heat-sealed package.

  • Avoid placing in direct sunlight, moist or humid situations when on display. If exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time, the colors in the icing can fade.

  • Do not put cookies in a refrigerator or cooler as this will dry the cookies out faster.

  • To keep cookies fresh and the design looking its best, place a sheet of parchment paper between each layer (if not individually wrapped) and in a air tight container at room temperature.

  • Freezing: place them in an airtight container, like a plastic freezer bag or Tupperware, with sheets of waxed paper in between any layers. Date them.

  • Defrosting:  leave them in the container you froze them in. This way any condensation will form on the outside of the container, not on the cookie. This can take 1 - 3 hours depending on your environment.

  • If frozen properly, cookies can stay good (and delicious) for about a month to 45 days.

Cookie Care

***Please note: All of my cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops contain diary, egg, soy, and gluten. All of my cookies contain dairy, egg, and gluten. I am not a nut-free establishment.***

***After delivery or pick up, all responsibility belongs to the client. Once it is out of my hands, I no longer have any responsibility for the dessert(s).***
